People’s Choice Awards: Starbank Park third in Scotland!
Starbank Park came third out of the all Scottish entrants in our first attempt in the Green Flag Awards People’s Choice poll of Britain’s best open spaces. This is great news for a small community park and reflects the huge efforts to restore the park from the Friends and the City of Edinburgh Council’s Ritchie Fraser, Jen Johnstone and Julie Milne (and her team).
Strathaven Park was placed highest placed Scottish Park and in the UK top twenty. Rouken Glen in East Renfrewshire was second.

TCV at the Park again!
Super day at the park. TCV came again to Starbank today. They dug over empty bedding borders, spread compost, weeded and did a marvellous job again! Many thanks to Tim and all his team for their help. They have made a big difference.
The park was looking good in the sunshine, with loads of colour and a few toadstools.

Another fine autumn day, with plenty activity on the Forth. The marker buoys for the cruise liners’ launches have been lifted. Winter must just be round the corner.

A glorious morning with loads going on in the park, weeding, digging, pruning, tidying and coffee! A surprising number of plants are still flowering and the park is looking good!
