Gardening on Wednesday, usual time.  Plenty to do, forecast is fair, there are still loads of beautiful flowers to admire, and there’s elevenses to finish. Please come along to help us keep Starbank Park looking beautiful.

People’s Choice Awards: Starbank Park third in Scotland!

Starbank Park came third out of the all Scottish entrants in our first attempt in the Green Flag Awards People’s Choice poll of Britain’s best open spaces.  This is great news for a small community park and reflects the huge efforts to restore the park from the Friends and the City of Edinburgh Council’s Ritchie Fraser, Jen Johnstone and Julie Milne (and her team).

Strathaven Park was placed highest placed Scottish Park and in the UK top twenty.  Rouken Glen in East Renfrewshire was second.
