Lovely day @StarbankPark for the Teddy Bear’s Picnic
Lovely afternoon enjoyed by all! Thanks to Sue and her team from Asda and to Janet for all their hard work which made it all work so well.
Perfect Timing for the Cherry Blossom Picnic, 7 May, 3.00-5.00
The Cherry Blossom has timed its appearance perfectly!
Huge turn-out on Halloween
It was a wonderful Halloween Party. Over 200 children and at least as many adults came along. The weather was terrific and everything went remarkably well, especially given the much larger than expected numbers. Many thanks to all who came along, the volunteers at the stalls who were all brilliant, Asda for all their generous gifts and to Janet for organising it all.
More ferns!
We had an excellent turn-out again on Wednesday. We planted more ferns in the fernery (many thanks to David and Stella from Kevock Garden Plants) and some peonies in the east border. Then more weeding and trimming. Ian Ross made a great job of sharpening the tools, many thanks to him and to Sue of Asda who raised the cash.
Coffee and weeding
Tea, coffee, cakes, biscuits were the order of the day. Special thanks to Sue and Asda for the éclairs and biscuits – very nice! We did garden too: more weeding and preparing for the summer bedding. Herbaceous borders are starting to look good.
