A great weekend and the Park was looking lovely. Even the bumble bees were out in the sunshine.

Everything looks better in the sun and the Starbank Park is no exception. Primulas and daffodils are looking great (and there are loads more to come). The pink hyacinths are looking great, the bergenias are the best they’ve been in the park and there’s even a Michaelmas daisy flowering! And then there are the views.

An unexpected bonus of a sunny morning led to a good turn-out and lots done. There was loads of weeding and huge progress was made with the bird boxes, you can see Sandy grafting away!

A special thanks to Stan who has extended the side border down to the gate, on his own! A huge improvement and not bad for 84½.

A pack of local rainbows planted some seeds and plants in the park yesterday evening. They had a great time, enjoying the new nature trail ‘
stepping stones.
We made good progress today on a much better morning than forecast. We did yet more weeding, worked on the nature trail and the park is looking good. Lots of flowers are out and the view over the Forth was unusually clear.

The marsh area is now prepared for “The Ugly Duckling”, we’ve started planting and we have made progress on the path with wood chips between the stepping stones!

P2 at Victoria Primary have spoken. The votes are in and being counted. We’ll soon know which flowers have been elected for “The Snow Queen” story area.

We had a surprise sunny morning after miserable weather forecast. We had a good turn out, getting on with the marsh garden in the nature trail, some weeding and tidying and a seed planting session, all before we sank a few coffees!
