We had lots of volunteers on Wednesday and did loads of weeding. There are lots more tidy borders.

Gardening Session: Wednesday 17th June, 10.00-11.30
There’s a Gardening Session from 10-11.30 on Wednesday. Decent weather forecast and lots to do before our Midsummer Madness on Sunday evening. Please come along if you can.
Midsummer Madness: Starbank Park, Sunday June 21, 7.30-9.30
A social evening that can’t be missed! We’re show-casing the park and there are snacks, wine, cheese and talks on bees, fern magic, composting and planting. There’s a plant stall too and guided walks round the park.
Gardening Session: Saturday, 13 June, 10.00-11.30
The park is looking good but there’s plenty to do. Please come along if you can.

A fabulous summer morning in the park. The borders where the summer bedding is to be planted have been weeded and edged, the boat at the Starbank has been replanted and we’re all exhausted! But the park is looking great, and with picnickers!

Coffee and weeding
Tea, coffee, cakes, biscuits were the order of the day. Special thanks to Sue and Asda for the éclairs and biscuits – very nice! We did garden too: more weeding and preparing for the summer bedding. Herbaceous borders are starting to look good.

There’s a members’ coffee morning and some gardening on Wednesday. Teas, coffees, biscuits and gardening implements all supplied. And the forecast is good, well, for this year!

Flowers in the park
The tulips are still terrific and the geraniums beside the Starbank Road are by far the best they’ve been so far.
