An unexpectedly dry morning
It rained until 9.30 this morning and then started again around 12, giving us a pleasant and dry morning for our gardening session, although we did need to shelter during our post session coffee and cakes. There was a good turnout and we got through loads of work. The park is looking good. All the borders are now planted out and we’re just about keeping the weeds at bay.

Gardening Session: Wednesday 8th July, 10.00-11.30
The park is looking good but there’s plenty to do to keep it smart.
Weeding, weeding and weeding
We’d a good turn out on a fine morning. We did lots, and despite the weeds growing fast in the warm weather the Park’s still looking good, despite the long grass!


Saturday Gardening session: 27 June, 10.00-11.30
The Saturday gardening session is on the 27th, usual time, 10.00-11.30. The park is looking great but there’s always lots to do. Please come along if you can.
Transforming the Park
We’ve nearly finished planting in the last four formal borders at the top of the park and it’s a huge step forward. The park is really looking great, quite a transformation!

And the summer flowers are looking good too!

Midsummer Madness
Our Midsummer Madness event went really well, despite temperatures more suited to November. Many thanks to Mia for the beautiful music, to Heather McHaffie for opening the fernery and her talk, to Lyndsey, Graham and Stan for their talks and demonstrations and to all the helpers at the stalls.

To get the park looking as good as possible for Sunday’s Midsummer Madness, we’re having an extra gardening session on Friday. Please come along any time after 9.30.
