An unexpectedly dry morning

It rained until 9.30 this morning and then started again around 12, giving us a pleasant and dry morning for our gardening session, although we did need to shelter during our post session coffee and cakes.  There was a good turnout and we got through loads of work.  The park is looking good.  All the borders are now planted out and we’re just about keeping the weeds at bay.

Midsummer Madness

Our Midsummer Madness event went really well, despite temperatures more suited to November.  Many thanks to Mia for the beautiful music, to Heather McHaffie for opening the fernery and her talk, to Lyndsey, Graham and Stan for their talks and demonstrations and to all the helpers at the stalls.
