We found some tree-climbing molluscs this morning.

And are these evidence of other, more welcome, small creatures living in the park?
Lots to do and a decent weather forecast so please come along if you can.
We had a very pleasant wine and cheese evening on the 30th July to celebrate getting the Green Flag and Stan’s 84th birthday. It was sunny but unseasonably cool, so pretty good for July 2015. Over 40 people braved the chill and we all celebrated excellently, especially Stan!

There’s a gardening session on Saturday, usual time, 10-11.30. There’s plenty to do, as always. Please come along if you can.
The Wednesday gardening session at the park is on, usual time. The forecast even says it’s going to be sunny!
Starbank Park now has a Green Flag! Bruce Robertson of Keep Scotland Beautiful presented Starbank Park’s Green Flag to Alastair Robertson and Janet McArthur yesterday in Starbank Park. There was a good turn-out on a fine sunny morning (well, until it was coffee time!), the park was looking great and we got loads of publicity from STV and the Evening News.

We did a bit extra tidying in the park this morning before Thursday’s Keep Scotland Beautiful announcements. The flower borders are looking really good. The summer bedding is full of colour, the fernery is well-established and new herbaceous borders are flourishing.
We saw one of our resident frogs, a butterfly or two and some busy bees.
It’s time for the final touches to the park for the Keep Scotland Beautiful announcements on Thursday! Please come if you can.
Weeds are growing fast and the forecast is good. Please come along if you can.
