Busy morning in the park with lots done and lots of weather. We were a bit taken aback when it started to snow as we were packing up.

We plant some plum and cherry trees in 2014 and we’re hoping for our first crop this year.

The park is looking good after a great turn-out and a load of work done in the sunshine. We, of course, managed rest and recreation after all the hard work.

Glorious sunshine, warmth and spectacular views were the order of the day today. The Ochils and beyond were very clear over Granton Harbour.

There’s a gardening session this week on Wednesday, 10-11.30. There is, as always in the spring, lots to do and the Met Office forecast is sunny and warm. OK, “sunny and not cold” might be more accurate! Please come along for the gardening, coffee and chat, not to mention the glorious show of spring flowers.
We nearly there with the bird and bat boxes. It’s all part of our nature trail! A substantial batch was delivered to the park yesterday. Special thanks to Sinclair, Tom, Roy and Sandy for their special help, to Forth Youth Theatre for the use of their workshop facilities and to Action Earth for funding the construction of these boxes.

There’s a gardening session on Saturday, usual time. The forecast is bright and fair, if a bit cool, and there’s plenty to do. Please come along if you can.
