Not a morning for gardening.

Not a morning for gardening.

There’s a gardening session tomorrow from 10-11.30. There’s lots to do including work on the nature trail. The Met Office even says that the rain will have stopped by 10 tomorrow, so please come along if you can.
The forecast is fine for tomorrow, and a bit warmer, and there is plenty to do with work started on the Nature Trail. Please come along if you can.
A good turn-out this morning, despite the dull, grey morning. We’ve made a good start to the nature trail and we’ve picked up even more leaves and weeds. The primulas are still providing a bit of colour, especially valuable on a dull day. And the council has started painting the railings, a huge improvement even with only the undercoat.

First snow of the winter last night. There was almost enough for sledging!

A fine winter’s morning in the park. The sun even shone and there are lots of flowers out, including primulas, a clematis and Puschkinia Russian Snowdrops! We did yet more tidying, organising the compost and started on bird box assembly, all supervised by very bossy robin.

The forecast says sunshine all morning, so please come along if you can.
There’s a gardening session on Saturday, Usual time. Lots to do but a cold, damp forecast.
It was a cold, windy but fair morning, so pretty good by the standards of 2016. We’d a good turn out of volunteers, all weeding, tidying and pruning.

And special thanks to Sinclair Campbell for cutting the wood for the bird boxes, which will be assembled in the next few weeks.
