New bug hotel and castle for the Nature Trail
And we had time to finish our first castle/bug hotel for our Hans Christian Andersen themed children’s Nature Trail. The Castle is for the Steadfast Tin Soldier and will soon be planted with upright and steadfast flowers!
Planting Roses in the Park
Edinburgh Council delivered 120 new Rose bushes to the park this morning (thank you Jen) and we prepared the borders then planted them all! And we still had time for coffee and cake!

Wednesday Gardening, 2 November, 10-11.30
Gardening on Wednesday will be busy as we’re expecting a load of roses from the Council for planting (thank you Jen!). The forecast is bright and sunny so please come along if you can. You might even meet our new, amphibious member who is still regularly seen hopping around the park.


Ghostly trucks

Hauntingly Good Halloween Party at Starbank
A great afternoon, a huge turn out and loads of great helpers made a great Halloween party at Starbank yesterday. We had dooking, pumpkin carving, face painting, scary cake making, story telling, scary science, plant stall, bulb planting, ghostly trucks and refreshments. Thanks to all who came along and to all our helpers.





Gardening/preparing for Halloween Party: 10-11.30, Saturday 29 October
Saturday’s session will include gardening and making a start on the preparations for the afternoon party. Forecast is to be fair all day, please come along if you can.
