Loads more summer flowers are still to come out but there are some beauties already in bloom.

A glorious sunny morning at the park and decent turn-out too. Weeding, planting and a little watering too – yes, it really is that dry here.

There are nests in three or four of the bird boxes, very pleasing. Sorry about the photo, neither the camera nor the cameraman is good enough for this type of photo but you just can see the parent and the baby almost ready to leave.

A fine forecast and plenty to get on with, so please come along to enjoy some gardening, chat , tea/coffee and the last daffodil of 2017 at the park, Wednesday, 10-11.30.
A fine forecast and lots to do, please come to our gardening session on Saturday morning, 10-11.30.

We had a good turn-out on a fine warm morning yesterday. Lots done, including preparing for more herbaceous planting, loads of weeding and some general trimming and tidying.

Come and enjoy a warm morning (assuming the Met Office is right) in Starbank Park, helping with the garden, having tea or coffee and enjoying the surroundings. Usual time: 10-11.30.

Gardening is on Saturday, usual time. There’s plenty to do, especially weeding! The forecast looks reasonable after a miserable early morning so please come along if you can. The eider duck was just outside Newhaven Harbour, both pictures were taken yesterday evening.

Thanks Julie!
