We had a good turn out and the Friends did lots today at the park, finishing just before the rain came on! The highlight was clearly David’s giant dandelion root!

There’ll be a bit of friendly gardening, plenty chat and tea, coffee and biscuits at Starbank Park on Wednesday morning, usual time, 10-11.30. The Met Office says its to be fair on Wednesday morning, there’s plenty to do, so please come along and help.

We’ve installed a second library in the park, this time for adults. Both the children’s and adults’ libraries work the same way, borrow a book and bring one back, the same one or a replacement. All very informal!

Two fine days in a row, can’t be August. A busy morning for the volunteers and a lot done. The park flowers are looking great.

Gardening on Wednesday, usual time. The weeds love the wet weather so there’s enough to do! And the forecast is for a dry day, all day! If you can believe that this summer.

Gardening is on Saturday, usual time. Lots of weeds to weed and edges to edge! Weeds and grass do far too well in the wet. Met Office says sunny intervals for Saturday morning – wish I could believe it!
