Volunteers arrived at the park yesterday to check for damage after Storm Éowyn. Thankfully all trees were still standing, with only a few small branches and twigs scattered across the grass.
Happily, the first flowers of the year have started to appear, so look out for snowdrops and crocuses on your next visit!
The Christmas wreath making weekend held on the 1st December was a success with a great turnout and Edinburgh Brass Band providing a very festive soundtrack. We’ve shared some photos of the event below, and wish all our Friends, volunteers, followers, and all those that enjoy the park, a very Merry Christmas.
Gardening on Wednesday, usual time. Met Office says there might be some light rain but they’re often wrong! Please come along if you can. The park is looking lovely, there’s plenty to do and elevenses to finish!
Great morning for gardening at the park today. Not too warm but lovely and sunny with plenty spring flowers to admire!
Decent day for gardening for the time of year, dry, cloudy and neither too cold nor too windy. We had a decent turnout of winter gardeners and got through some heavy work which helped keep us warm.
