First frost of the winter
It was a fine morning, but the first real frost of the winter in Trinity.

Leaves, lupin, Christmas tree, tulips and squirrels
We’d a great turn out for a winter’s day. We’ve now cleared almost all the leaves from the grass, the Christmas tree was looking good (before the gale!) and there is still a remarkable amount of colour, including fuchsias and a very confused lupin. Bad news was that squirrels have been gorging themselves on tulip bulbs planted in pots. We should have known! We’ve rescued quite a lot and we hope the gluttonous squirrels don’t learn to open the cold frame!

Wreath-Making at the Park
Despite the awful weather, there was one successful event at the park on Saturday. The turn out was good and the wreaths were excellent. We even managed to brighten up the bothy (though the hole in the ceiling was beyond disguise). Thanks to Janet for organising and Fi Duncan for leading the course.

It was so good that even Santa and assorted hangers on even came along!”
Cancelled: Christmas Carols in the Park
The Christmas Carols event has been cancelled because of the bad weather
Dull, damp, planting bulbs and cleaning out the bothies
A fairly miserable morning but we had a good turn out. There’s a wreath-making class in the bothy on Saturday so it was all hands to the deck to clear everything out. We were surprised at just how much stuff we have. We also managed some bulb planting and leaf-raking, before the rain came back on.

Empty and cleaning up

Some of what came out!
Reminder: AGM on Tuesday 1 December
Tea, coffee and mince pies at Trinity Academy will be available on 1 December at 7.30. The AGM will be on too!
Busy, fine winter morning
Lots done on a lovely winter morning. Even more leaves have been raked (still plenty to fall!), we’ve topped up the planting at the star and loads of bulbs have been planted in pots. Special thanks to Louisa and Erica from Quintiles for their help.

Damp Morning with Mice
The rain stopped just after 10 for over an hour before a proper deluge but eight of us got loads done in the dry spell, planting out various flowers, bushes and bulbs, spreading compost and loading the cold frame with overwintering geraniums. We unfortunately disturbed some mice in the compost bins.

Glorious autumn morning
A great turnout on a lovely day! We planted bulbs, spread compost and collected rather a lot of leaves!! All a bit too much for Janet!
