Wednesday Gardening @StarbankPark, 12 April, 10-11.30

Lots to do to get ready for Friday’s Easter Egg Hunt, not to mention the gardening!  The Met Office forecast is for a dry morning with sunny intervals so please come along if you can.

Easter Egg Hunt – What a Great Morning!

It was a glorious spring morning, there was a fantastic turn-out, loads of great helpers, buckets of chocolate, Janet’s terrific organisation and, I nearly forgot, the scary Easter Bunny! It was a perfect recipe for a perfect day!

Big Turnout for Easter Egg Hunt

The rain stopped at 9.30 this morning and started again at 11.45 but, in between, we had a perfect morning for our Easter Egg Hunt.  We had a wonderful turn-out with over 200 parents and children.  We thought we had far too many Easter eggs and bunnies but almost all were claimed in an hour. Lots of cups of tea and coffee were served and the children planted loads of sunflower seeds in take-away pots.  Many thanks to all our helpers and to Asda, Tesco and Waitrose (in alphabetical order) for donations. And a huge special thanks to Janet (with the pink ears) for organising the event so brilliantly.
